Hearthstone Hospitality Search ("we," "us") is a direct-hire recruiting firm that places hospitality managers with employers. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. If you're a candidate: your name, email, phone number, location, résumé, work history, compensation and career preferences, and anything else you choose to share. If you're an employer: your contact details and information about the roles you're hiring for.
- Information from other sources. To find managers who may fit a role, we may collect professional information from public sources, such as professional networking sites and industry publications, and from referrals. If we contact you this way, you can ask us to stop or to delete your information at any time.
- Information collected automatically. When you use our website, we collect basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, through cookies and similar tools. When you submit a form, we record the date and time you agreed to this policy, with your IP address and browser, as a record of that consent.
Please don't send us sensitive information we don't need, such as your Social Security number, date of birth, health information or financial account details.
How we use your information
- To match candidates with roles and contact you about opportunities by phone, email or text message
- To share a candidate's background with a hiring employer, only after the candidate agrees to that introduction
- To run our searches, manage placements, invoice clients and keep business records
- To operate, secure and improve our website
- To meet our legal obligations
Our recruiters may use automated tools, including AI, to help review résumés, prepare interview questions and organize notes. These tools don't make hiring or placement decisions. A person reviews every candidate.
We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Who we share it with
- Our recruiting team
- Service providers that host our systems or help us run our business, such as website hosting, email and recruiting software, under agreements that limit how they use your information
- Employers, when we introduce you for a specific role with your OK
- Government authorities when the law requires it, or a successor business if we're sold or reorganized
How long we keep it
We keep candidate records while they're useful for recruiting. If a record has had no meaningful activity for four years, we delete it automatically, or remove the personal details where we must keep a placement or invoice record. We keep employer and placement records for as long as our business and legal obligations require.
How we protect it
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information. No system is completely secure, so please contact us right away if you think your information has been compromised.
Your choices and rights
- Ask what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, using our data deletion form or by emailing hello@hearthstonesearch.com.
- Unsubscribe from our emails using the link in any email, or ask us to stop calling or texting you at any time. You can reply STOP to any text message.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under state law. We'll respond to requests within the time the law requires, and we won't treat you differently for making one.
We may need to verify your identity before we act on a request.

We use cookies and similar tools to keep our website working and to understand how it's used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some features may not work without them.
Children
Our services are for working professionals. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the new version here with a new "last updated" date, and tell you about material changes where the law requires.
